01Who this agreement is with

This page sets out the terms for using codebrothers.io and for joining any course we run. You are agreeing with CODE BROTHERS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17474240, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Throughout this document, “we”, “us” and “Code Brothers” refer to that company, and “you” refers to the student.

You can inspect our filing history at Companies House under company number 17474240.

Asking for a seat, paying an invoice or joining a live session each signal that you accept these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should not proceed with enrollment.

02Who can take a course

  • Enrollment is open only to people aged 18 or older.
  • The information you enter on the enrollment form needs to be correct. Session links and the intro call booking both depend on your email address and phone number, so a mistyped digit or letter can cost you your seat.
  • Each seat belongs to one named person. Even when an employer covers the invoice, the seat stays assigned to that individual and cannot be shared or handed off within a team.

03Booking and paying for a seat

Submitting the form on this site creates a request for a seat, not a completed order, and nothing is billed at that point.

  • A reply arrives within the same business day, proposing a roughly thirty-minute call.
  • If the call confirms the course is a fit, an invoice follows in pounds sterling. VAT is added where the law requires it and will appear on the invoice. The seat stays reserved for seven days while that invoice is unpaid.
  • Payment clearing is what confirms your place and forms the contract. At that point we also send written confirmation of the cohort dates, session times and syllabus.
  • Site pricing can change without notice, though whatever figure we put in writing to you is fixed for that cohort.

04How a course runs

Each course is delivered live over video on a fixed timetable: 2 sessions a week, roughly 75 minutes long, with cohorts capped at 8 students. Session times are given in UK time. Every session is recorded, and the recording is shared with that cohort.

  • Illness or a genuine emergency may push us to reschedule a single session; when that happens we give as much warning as possible and run a make-up.
  • A cohort that does not reach a workable headcount may be postponed, and you can then shift to the next intake or take a full refund.
  • No specific tutor is promised. If a substitution becomes necessary, the replacement will carry comparable experience.
  • Come prepared with a reasonably current computer, a stable internet connection and a working microphone. Where a course calls for paid third-party tools, the course page names them before you pay.

05Expected behavior in sessions

A cohort works only when people feel safe asking a rough, unfinished question. We expect ordinary professional courtesy from everyone, and anyone who harasses, threatens or repeatedly disrupts a session will be removed.

  • Recording, screenshotting or redistributing a session requires our written permission first, since other students are visible in that footage.
  • Session links and account credentials stay with you; sharing them with another person is not permitted.
  • Anything you observe from another student’s employer or codebase should be kept confidential.

Being removed for serious misconduct ends your access and does not come with a refund. We treat that as a last resort and will warn you clearly before it happens.

06Materials, ownership and license

CODE BROTHERS LIMITED retains ownership of the slides, exercises, recordings, starter repositories and written notes we provide. What you receive is a personal, non-transferable licence to use that material for your own learning, at work included, for as long as it stays available online.

Reselling, publishing, feeding them into a training corpus or using them to run a competing course are all outside that licence.

Code you write stays yours. We assert no claim over your projects or anything you build, whether during a course or afterward.

07Getting a refund

Every course comes with a 21-day refund window, and UK consumers also have statutory cancellation rights. The mechanics of both are covered in our refund policy, which is incorporated into these terms. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

08Limits on what we promise

Our teaching is done in good faith, and we are deliberate about what we claim it achieves. Nothing here amounts to a guarantee of a job, a promotion, a particular salary, or a fix for any specific bug in your own systems.

Treat course content as educational rather than as legal, financial or security advice; decisions about your own production systems remain yours to make.

Where the law permits it, our total liability to you for any course-related claim is capped at whatever you paid for that course, and we carry no liability for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit or lost data. That cap does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that English law does not allow us to limit.

09Which law applies

The laws of England and Wales govern these terms. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live. We would always rather settle the matter by talking first.

10How this document changes

This document gets revised as the business evolves; the date at the top is the record of which version currently applies. Should a revision materially change something about a course you are already enrolled in, we will email you directly instead of expecting you to spot the update yourself.
